Football Camps

The Martin Bayless Football Camp was established in 1986 in Dayton, Ohio, Martin's hometown. Future camps were added in San Diego, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Kansas City, MO, and Buffalo, NY. Through the sport of football we try to educate our participants on the following; team building, conflict resolution, decision making, goal setting and enhancing trust and tolerance, regardless of race and gender, physical stature or level of ability. The professional athletes who act as coaches and instructors concentrate on making the most of the week they spend with our youngsters. They work hard to convey the message that with commitment, hard work, avoidance of drugs and alcohol you can realize your dreams.

One of the unique differences about this camp is that Martin Bayless is and will continue to be the driving force behind its success. Another unique aspect is kids, boys and girls, grades 3-12, can participate for FREE in non-contact sessions instructed by over 15 NFL players. The camp is held during spring recess and is divided according to grades, 3-8 in the morning, 9-12 in the afternoon and by positions, (i.e. quarterbacks, defensive backs, etc.).

The final day ends with a sponsors lunch and all participants receive a camp t-shirt. Also, the grand prize for the "Football Equipment Donation Program (FED)" contest goes to the school with the most participants. This school wins NIKE football shoes for their entire football team, to date the Foundation has donated over $475,000 of football equipment to local football youth and High School programs.

The number of kids participating has increased every year. Beginning in 1986 we had 300 boys and girls. In 2010, we served over 2,500 participants. The numbers go up every year! Over the past 24 years, we have served more than 138,000 kids making it the LARGEST FREE FOOTBALL CAMP IN THE USA!
